Do some good in 5mins

Neat use of mobile from Orange RockCorps. Their ‘Do Some Good’ iPhone app allows you to complete bite-size actions - taking photos, completing surveys, etc - to help projects and charities via the app.

The Do Some Good app is free on App Store.

Only Independence can save us now (iPad)

Okay, this isn’t an app - but it is July 4th which, for our cousins across the pond, is Independence Day. So, to keep it topical, here’s an interesting magazine about Independence… independent people, independent products, independent places… you get the idea.

Disclosure time: We’re AppaholicsAnon* (emphasis on the ‘Anon’) so of course we can’t really say, but we may or may not have had some involvement with Independence Mag.

It’s been formatted for iPad reading and features interesting features, interviews and pics covering things like independent ideas and initiatives that are helping to save the planet (think very cool looking chairs made from recycled playstation plastic - nice!), independent designers, the economics of independence, and where to get some of the best independent coffee in London and Leeds.
